Step 2: Test. Don't Guess.

Functional Lab Testing

Functional lab testing will help determine imbalances in your body, what body systems require the most support, and what micronutrients are a priority for you. Your results will guide the creation of a personalized plan for you.

 

There are 2 test options for a baseline starting point:

1. A Hair Scan will identify the nutritional and environmental factors impacting your cells. In less than 15 minutes, it highlights: Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids, Essential Fatty Acids, Antioxidants, Parasites, Viruses, Bacteria, Toxins, EMF exposure, and Foods. This will identify what specific foods and lifestyle practices will be most beneficial for you to focus on.

* The hair scan is available to local clients on Vancouver Island

2. A Saliva Hormone Panel is a comprehensive hormone test that will evaluate your HPA axis, sex hormones, and melatonin to determine hormone imbalances in your body.

Your personalized protocol - what foods and lifestyle practices to focus on

Weekly 50-minute customized sessions - to help you take action and hold you accountable

Email support between sessions - for any questions or concerns that come up as you implement recommendations

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress as a new mom or at your job cause you to feel overwhelmed and exhausted? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from making healthy choices? As we work together, you'll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that nourish your body to improve your hormone health and well-being.

 

Most approaches to healthy eating dwell on calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins and involve a list of restrictions that leave people feeling deprived. My approach is different - I determine food sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies, and hormone imbalances then coach my clients to add in supportive foods and healthy habits their unique body needs.

Bio-Individuality

The concept of bio-individuality is the idea that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food can be another person’s poison, and that’s why diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background.

 

Primary Food

It's easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat that affects our health, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity, and a spiritual connection are essential forms of nourishment. I support you in bringing balance to the primary and secondary food in your life.

Deconstructing Cravings

Cravings play a critical role in understanding what your body needs and shouldn’t be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they’re really telling you, you will be able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony.
